‘Equity’ is Kosher and ‘Hallel’. ‘Debt’ is Kosher. [sirens]

Only communism prohibits private 'equity' much the way the food on the family table is for all family members. 'Debt', however, is prohibited only by Islam [exterior sound]. We are required to SHARE the risk with those with whom we partner. We can either make a no interest loan which we expect to be paid back in full... ...Or we can take stock, or partnership units - so if our partner(s) make(s) money we make money. If the venture doesn't make money, then nobody owes anybody anything. You pay to avoid taking a risk. You get paid for taking a risk. Debt holders pay to avoid taking a risk by accepting a lower rate of return on their money than if they were to take an equity position - at least theoretically. Equity holders get paid for taking a risk by getting a rate of return limited only by the supply and demand for the need the venture seeks to fill. Transferring risk to governments, or 'suckers' in pyramid schemes, etc. allows debt holders to acquire equity through foreclosure or bankruptcy. Thus the term 'loan sharks' who feed on those whose member 'ships' are sinking in the ocean of supply and demand pHnk]. 'Debt' permits you to partner with others while taking no, or very little risk, of course the rate of return
