Baalthazaq, I think you are kind of advocated trying to fight fire with fire, the danger is you just get a much bigger fire. You can’t cure AIDS (extreme Islam/Christianity) by infecting that person with HIV (moderate Islam/Christianity). Although some have argued that by exposing children to some moderate religion they develop a degree of resistance to further religious indoctrination, like a vaccine, so there is a counter argument that might support your view.

You’d prefer the wrong brand? In my opinion, that’s the single biggest reason Britain needs to allow the teaching of different faiths in schools properly, and not allow the (70% self appointed in Europe) clerics in places like the UK who do preach a radical minority view of Islam to kids who don’t learn from anywhere else.

Just so you know, almost all Kosher food is Halal, but not all Halal food is Kosher.

Kosher has the same rules as us, but then they have more.

Lets make up a demonstration.
Lets say Muslims can only eat beef and Jews can only eat *female* beef.

Muslims can eat what the Jews eat (because it’s still beef), but the Jews can only eat half of what Muslims eat, (because it’s not always female).

Obviously I made up that example, but it’s simplified for character count.

Baalthazaq my POINT is that education and religion are completely separate issues. One is based on man’s collective knowledge and tries to teach people how to think for themselves while the other (a private/personal choice) is based on fairy tales and Chinese whispers and for many is considered a crude form of control-knowledge, education, sexuality, expression etc.

Tax funded state schools should be free from ALL religious interference.
