| This book is a wonderful resource for anyone looking for non-sugar recipes. I love that it also doesn't include artificial sweetners, too--seems like all those other cookbooks fall back on the fake stuff, and this book is nothing but real food. You don't have to be kosher to enjoy it, either, I'm not, but I still love the recipes. There's a delicious spinach salad with bean sprouts, chicken casserole type dishes, desserts, breads, pretty much anything you can imagine. Oh and the pictures of the food are fantastic, I highly recommend this book! |

If you think nutritious food has to be boring and tasteless, you need this cookbook! Every recipe I've tried has been truly delicious, without sugar, honey, or artificial sweeteners. There are many wheat- and dairy-free dishes included, which is very helpful for families like mine with food sensitivities. And I have a new favorite pot roast recipe--sorry, Mom.
All the recipes are kid-friendly, and you will feel wonderful replacing empty snacks with real whole grains your family will actually eat. Even people who can't stand "health food" will love these recipes! |
Wow! Truly Healthy AND Kosher

| This is the first kosher cookbook I've ever seen that really is healthy - no sugar, nothing artificial and completely whole grain... and if you can believe it, everything I've tried is delicious! Even my picky three year old wants to eat these recipes. Most are easy and quick, and the few that are a little more complicated, seem really worth the effort. For the first time I don't have to take a kosher cookbook and try to make it healthy, or take a healthy cookbook and try to make it kosher. The yummy pictures give you a good idea of what your results will be like. Nutritious and Delicious is now my #1 cookbook! |

Naomi's cookbook is really wonderful. I use it all the time. I find it easy to read and follow. The recipes are very tasty. Even my kids like them. I've tried many of them and they were all a hit with my whole family. We aren't kosher and we still find them very tasty and wonderful. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who wants delicious and healthy recipes. You can't go wrong using these reicpes.

free of sugar and sugar substitutes

| I need to cut out sugar in my diet, but refuse to use sugar substitutes because I cannot abide their taste. Finally, there's a cookbook that uses natural substitutes (like bananas) to sweeten the recipes. Also, there are many great recipes that don't use any flour (not even whole wheat)which works great for me. This cookbook is perfect for anyone who must stay away from sugar and still wants to eat great tasting food. |
Finally - a cookbook I could really use

Being sensitive to sugar and trying to eat whole grains, it has not been easy to find a cookbook that I could use. This cookbook has finally given me a chance to feel like I could enjoy food like everyone else. I even found my husband enjoying some of the cakes I made - and he only enjoys the real sweet stuff.

Big disappointment. Old hat Jewish cooking. Nothing new or creative. One star.
