Subtly perfumed and delicate

I love this tea because I love the flavor of rose in subtle forms. This tea delivers beautifully. It has only two ingredients - white tea and dried rose. The rose shines while the white tea gives the tea just enough body so you don't feel like you're drinking an infusion of the flower alone.
I also like to boil water with a single cardamom seed and then steep the tea bag in that water.
A word of caution - don't steep the tea bag for more than a couple of minutes because the tannins in the tea seep in and make the tea bitter/astringent. |
Delicious!

| This particular blend of tea is amazingly delicious. I'm a big fan of unusual teas - I'm always trying new ones - and I keep a huge variety in the house, so it's a big deal for me to say that this is absolutely my favorite of them all. There's just something really satisfying about the taste. You have to taste it to believe it, so I highly recommend that you give it a try. |

White Rose Velvet Garden White Tea is an exciting and unusual premium Numi tea. It is a white tea, more rare than other types of teas and less processed as well, having been only plucked and dried (not oxidized). Some people find white tea a subtler and more enjoyable type of tea experience (I know I do). White Rose Velvet Garden White Tea is certified organic, and is both fair trade and kosher.
It is made from hand-wrapped white tea leaves and rosebuds! Rosebuds---can you imagine?!?! Those are the only two ingredients, and they are delicate and delicious, different from anything else I've ever tried.
This tea, like all Numi teas, is packaged with 100% post-consumer waste, and the tea bags are made from biodegradable filter paper. Numi does not believe in the practice of adding oils or flavorings to bolster flavors, and I love this and can tell the difference; for this and many other reasons, Numi is one of my favorite tea manufacturers.
On the box, Numi writes: "Roses have been a symbol of love and beauty since the dawn of romance. Numi's enchanting Velvet Garden(tm) releases a provocative sweet rosy taste as it blushes a soft pink. With every sip this liaison of organic rose petals and delicate Spring White tea imparts a silken smoothness. White Tea is the tender bud of the tea plant making it exquisitely subtle and supremely healthy. High in antioxidants and vitamin C, this uplifting Fair Trade Certified white tea blend will be the beginning of a long lasting love affair." I have to agree. This is truly an amazing tea.
If you like Numi teas, get it---you won't be sorry. If you are new to Numi but love white tea, or are curious to try it from the description, I do not think you could find a better source than Numi. If you are looking for a romantic tea, White Rose Velvet Garden White Tea fits the bill perfectly.
Highly recommended.

Numi Tea White Rose Velvet Garden, 1.13-Ounces (Pack of 6)
I ADORE this tea. I am a fan of flower teas- especially rose. I used to enjoy a black rose tea from Twinnings that I cannot for the life of me , locate. Good thing, though, as I have fallen hard for this one. The white tea makes for a smoother tea (don't over-brew) and the subtle rose flavor simply pops. It is my feel good tea. I used to purchase it from The Vitamin Shoppe- but they discontinued it. Whole Foods carries every other flavor from this maker EXCEPT this one. I had no choice but to head to Amazon. Great price. I used super-saver shipping and it came in a couple of days! |

This is my first experience with antioxidant-rich white tea. Also, I like the fair trade and organic labels. Since I prefer mild teas, the subtle, honey-like sweetness and floral, fruity notes of white rose tea are immediately pleasing. A stronger brew intensifies the rose flavor, but the tea remains smooth without bitter tannins often found in green and black teas. The white tea and rose blend is exquisite - a wonderful, soothing treat by itself or with dessert.
This has become my favorite tea! |

| This is now my favorite everyday tea. I prefer white tea in general, and I love rose-scented teas, though it's often hard to find really good ones....this is the best of both worlds. Very subtle, not sweet, and very smooth with almost zero tannins (so not bitter). Bought this for my mom, the original tea fanatic, and she loves it too. Highly recommended! |

| I love this tea. The rose scent is strong when you first add hot water. The flavor however is subtle. Very delicious. It was a little more expensive to buy this online than at the store, but the store runs out often so buying online was a good alternative. |
