Jewish Kosher Certification Food Tax
Read Time Magazine article from 1932. www.time.com Is Kosher a legitimate quality standard, or is it a Jewish tax on food? As long as non jews don't know of this and buy kosher food unknowingly, it acts as a tax towards non-jews.

Malheureusement, avant que j’avais fait mes stage (internships?) en Los Angeles, je n’ai jamais cru que c’etait vrai que les Juif sont vraiment les chefs de notre “media” (j’etais nee en France mais suis un citoyen fier des Etats-Unis). As someone who denounces hatred, I am in agreement with you that actual hatred of Jews for simply being Jews is ludicrous. On this particular thread though, many people are likely upset because they have been saddled with an undemocratic tax by a mafia-style Orthodox Rabbinical group(s). NO OTHER RELIGION in the US does this and the people are not given any outlet to voice their disapproval b/c ANY negative statement against any Jew results in the Anti-Semite card played b/c Jews own the media

If your numbers are correct (which i doubt) it amounts to less than %1. that number is compensated by the fact that Jews who would otherwise not buy these products will buy it!

your sources? i only buy organic and if it happens to have K or OU on the package i’ll buy from a local farmer instead. in fact from now on i will only buy from farmers market even though it’s a little more expensive than organic foods store.

look at indians in/from india. they don’t “kosherize” their food and utensils. they eat like animals with animals and are healthier than any kosher jew will ever be. kosher food is not cleaner. jews and their food are not clean or cleaner than any other ethnic or religious group.

I saw somewhere along the way in this long series of replies that people don’t think this is a tax or levy? Is it really a certification? Really? Do companies have to pay millions upon millions of U.S. consumer dollars to a religious oganizations for an organic certification label?
