When I read that article in the online Times this morning, I had to shake my head. I already know that kosher meat does not automatically equate to sustainable and humanly raised and slaughtered meat. But the bit about producers exploiting a potential new and non-jewish market – oy! So kosher might be pushed falsely in the same way “natural” is pushed falsely. I wonder what the packaging will look like.
